WAKE UP CALL

Long time ago, when we have leaders whom have the qualities of leadership, when the founders of Nigeria who worked hard with sweat and blood dispassionately declared Nigeria's Independence to the world, and  Nigerian Citizens, they had dreamt of a better Nigeria, a Nigeria free of ethnic, religious, or otherwise sort of violence, a country free from corruption, among others and one day rise to the forefront of global excellence.

Perhaps for our fatherland to achieve such a dream considering the nature of the county today a lot of positive changes and campaigns needs to be put in place. The changes needed aren't just for the sake of change alone as we are experiencing it today rather a change worth all sacrifice against all odds. Nigeria ha s become a battle field where politics and politicians use the lives, properties and rights of citizens for playing their games of deception. It's quite embarrassing that some people or leaders claiming to be our heroes are using our lives and properties as collateral damage for them to achieve their political propaganda , we need changes that earnestly and honestly meant to promote and preserve our values and unity, eradicate religious and ethnic discrepancies, enabling environment for Nigeria and it's people to excel in every domain of life. The day Nigeria was said to have acquired Independence from the Colonial master's was 1st October 1960.
Thus, what are we doing as Nigerians that claim to be patriotic citizens? Claiming to be saints and the leaders are corrupt,  Albert Einaten once said, if you think politics is the game  of the corrupt, you will be lead by people beneath you in all ramifications of life and thus, you  have to do as they say. I think we should start something great within us, let the change begin with me and you, let the blame game be eliminated, it's to time we forget about our political affiliations when it's a matter of national development, it's time we work as Nigerians not Muslim or Christian, neither Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba but Nigerians.

Let's wake up Nigerians, it's time, get involved in politics, you are not too young to run, politics is not for corrupt people, it's for people with good qualities, it's high time we stop blaming them for their mistakes, let's motivate them to do something for the benefit of their electorate, it's high time we call them for regular town hall meetings, so that the communication gap between we and our leaders be bridged for better leadership and Nigeria.
